Mishawaka, IN: ABI Attachments, the world’s leading arena drag manufacturer, and Premier Equestrian, the world-renowned arena footing experts have partnered together to meticulously craft a durable, dependable synthetic footing drag, engineered to create professional-level results. ABI Attachments and Premier Equestrian are proud to Introduce the ABI SportPro – Premier Equestrian Edition. The SportPro line of groomers was designed with equestrians and their horses at the forefront with a focus on infinite adjustability and comprehensive blending.

“ABI is the leader in drags and groomers for the western riding discipline,” said Mark Neihart, CEO of Premier Equestrian. “They have been at the forefront of innovation in both function and design, they even own sixteen patents on their equipment. When they approached us to partner in the development of a brand-new groomer for synthetic surfaces, we were all in.”

The SportPro line has three base models, with a range of configurations and sizes, so arena owners can ensure their drag is built to perfectly groom their synthetic footing, no matter what additives and tow vehicle they are working with. The SportPro line has groomers for compact tractors, subcompact tractors, UTVs, and ATVs. The ground-engaging components on the SportPro family are independently adjustable, making it easier than ever to get the perfect setting for daily grooming as well as seasonal remixing or changing the surface tension for conditioning.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with our friends at Premier Equestrian,” said Scott Holmes, Co-owner of ABI Attachments. “Their expertise in synthetic footing pairs perfectly without our expertise in engineering equipment to get outdoor work done. Together, we’ve created a truly incredible groomer that will change the game of synthetic footing maintenance, making it more efficient and comprehensive than ever before.”

SportPro M5 features a patent-pending self-locking swivel hitch that precisely follows the turns of the compact or subtractor around jumps and rails and straightens itself before locking when lifted. The SportPro M3, for more powerful ATVs, UTVs, or sub-compact tractors, comes fitted with a single-point pin or optional ball coupler connection and wheel transport system for easy connect-and-go convenience. The SportPro M1 is a paired down version of the M3, perfect for personal facilities and smaller arenas; it can be towed with a utility cart, ATV, UTV, or small tractor.

The M3 and M5 SportPro models are highly configurable with the choices between scarifiers or S-tines, single or double roller, as well as the standard components of coil tines and a smoothing bar. An optional edging tool and kickboard wheel are also available as add-ons. With over a dozen configurations available, the SportPro can be ensured to fit the arena owner’s exact needs for their sand arena with additives. The partnership and launch of the new line of groomers culminated more than a year of planning and development between ABI and Premier Equestrian.
