One of the things that impressed us with this was this is built like a tank.
Fully-welded using COR-TEN steel (Copper Chromium Alloy Steel), ABI ATV manure spreaders are built to be tank-tough to endure the heavy-duty manure work on your land. Each component is made from this extremely thick 12-gauge steel, giving our small spreaders greater durability and longevity to reduce your maintenance expenses. Even unfinished you can count on the steel construction of your small manure spreader to stand strong against rust, rot, or corrosion as you handle manure from day to day.
ABI muck spreaders are designed with superior craftsmanship to make manure management easier. Featuring easy-to-use manual levers, a swing-away jack stand for simple hookup and detachment, and an industry-exclusive Inline Shred & Spread System, our small manure spreaders simply give you a better, finer spread of manure over your farm. Beyond better technology, we’ve also made our spreaders and components easier to maintain and service, so you can be sure to have high-quality equipment that’ll work hard for decades.
Properly managing manure is a critical part of maintaining a healthy farm. ABI small manure spreaders make it easier and safer to muck out the stables and spread manure into your pastures. Using our innovative shred-and-spread system and 4-speed variable flow control, you can adjust your spreader to finely shred and spread all sorts of animal manure. Spreading finer manure gives you a faster, more even distribution of fertilizer to absorb into your soil. Having manure breakdown faster ensures you have cleaner paddocks as well as healthier and safer pastures for your horses.
Each ABI small manure spreader features an inline shredding system with 2 beater bars, 4-speed variable flow control, poly-lumber flooring, a protective spreader box liner, commercial-grade coating, advanced ground drive system, and a swing-away jack crank with wheel dolly to made from corrosive-resistant COR-TEN steel.
Best of all, its size makes this attachment perfect to fit between barn aisles and paddocks, so you can conveniently muck manure directly into your spreader from the stall. Better support the health of your animals, pastures, and soil with our most popular heavy-duty attachment: the ABI 50ft³ ground drive dung spreader. Best matched with ATVs, UTVs, and sub-compact tractors with a minimum of 22 hp or 570cc.
ABI spreaders aren’t just for horse manure: we spread it all! ABI’s muck spreaders handle all kinds of animal manure and compost at any phase of decomposition.
Yes. Any spreader used on pastures or paddocks requires advanced features that shred, control flow, and evenly spread on the ground. ABI spreaders do all that and more, fitting perfectly into your rotational grazing or pasture rotation routine. One of the best things you can do is spread a light shredded and pulverized manure application to “resting” pastures or paddocks. Do this early on long sunny and dry days to allow it to dry quickly. Allow the pasture area to “rest” for at least a couple of weeks before allowing livestock to graze again, reducing the possibility of parasite exposure.
The duration of time a pasture should rest after the last application depends on the local environment. Hot and moist areas and seasons should “extend” resting periods. A rotational grazing routine provides the best opportunity to spread on recently “rested” portions of pasture land. An eco-balanced pasture or paddock reduces parasites, increases vegetation growth, increases rotation rates, and reduces odor and flies around the farm. ABI’s optional “Fines” or “Pasture” pan is required. For the ultimate in paddock health, spread composted manure.
We always recommend shredding before you spread, avoiding spreading on or near wet areas, and giving your pasture time to rest. For more details and our thoughts on spreading stall picked or composted, when to spread, and how to best spread, check out our Animal Manure Management Guidebook.
Ground driven spreaders are easy to use, work on a variety of towing vehicles, and have enhanced safety features. They’re best for small hobby farms, show stock owners, and small ranchers.
PTO driven spreaders tackle large projects. They’re harder to operate, but offer more capacity and capability for skilled operators.
The size that’s best for you depends on everything from your spreading frequency to how much your livestock produces.

ABI spreaders are fully-welded with COR-TEN steel to be tank-tough through and through. Our extremely thick COR-TEN steel provides tremendous longevity without the ridiculous expense of stainless steel. So yes, our spreaders aren’t shiny like your kitchen appliances for good reason: stainless steel is not as structurally sound as COR-TEN. Below we have detailed out why our spreaders are built to outlast the barn; and the competition.
Keep Clumps Out of Your Pasture
Using the optional fines pan, be sure to shred every bit of manure in your dung spreader and prevent stray clumps from hitting the ground. Attached directly behind the spreader, the fines pan catches and brings any fallen clumps of manure back into the beaters to be finely shredded. Including a fines pan is especially useful for catching smaller litter produced by poultry. The optional pan also features a release for easy cleaning or replacement.
