Why ReiningI don't know if I chose Reining or it chose me. As a kid that is what my family pursued as a hobby and career. It is what I fell in love with as a kid.
HeroesThe first person that comes to mind is my Dad, Bill Flarida
Connect With Me
I am proud of my career achievements but the most important achievement in my life is without a doubt my family. My wife (Michele) of 26 years and I have three beautiful kids: Cody 23, Courtney 16 and Samuel 15. My family keeps me grounded and humble. They travel with me as much as possible and are a constant reminder to me of how very blessed and lucky that I am.
Every time that I ride or show a horse my goal is the same, to teach both the horse and myself something. For the horse, I want to see growth in their confidence and abilities and for myself I want to constantly learn the best way to communicate with the horse to bring out its best.
What qualities do you value in a horse?
I value most the heart of the animal (their conscience), athletic ability and work ethic.
What has been your greatest horse achievement?
Winning the NRHA Futurity Champion, NRBC Champion, NRHA Derby Champion & the “Triple Crown” with Wimpys Little Chic.
Dinner with someone (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
I would want to have dinner with my future grandchildren so I would be sure to have met and gotten to know them.
If you weren’t a Professional Horseman, what would you be?
If I could do any other profession it would be to be a football coach
My Go-To ABI Tool
I couldn’t work without both my ABI Dragmaster and ABI Manure Spreader…take those two things away and the farm can’t operate.
