RIPPING TEETH
The Teeth For Tough Work
The included adjustable rippers may be exchanged in or out to give the Rascal Pro the teeth for tough work. They are adjustable from 0 – 7″ to get to the bottom of the most demanding jobs, even potholes! They enable the Gravel Rascal Pro UTV driveway grader to be used to maintain gravel driveways, parking lots, prep seedbeds, maintain trails, maintain food plots & so much more! The rigid design, and angle of penetration into the ground, deliver exceptional aggressiveness not matched by any other ATV landscape rake or UTV driveway grader. The tips are replaceable for reduced maintenance costs.
These forward-facing scarifiers also help to blend gravel particles sizes, ensuring the driving surface is well graded for ultimate stability. Over time large gravel particles will rise to the top of the driving surface, and the small particles will settle to the bottom. Keeping these particles blended is crucial to a stable driving surface.

PIVOTING RAKE - PULVERIZE, GRADE, RAKE, & FINISH
By adjusting the rear manual jack, the Gravel Rascal’s 1/2″ think hardened steel rake can pivot up to 90° into various finishing and grading positions. The rake’s adjustability enables it to pulverize clods of material, level, finish, spread loose material from a small pile, grade (by cutting already loosened material and dragging into low areas), and collect loosened surface rocks & other debris. The rake can be adjusted entirely out of play if unneeded for a particular job. This functionality enables the Gravel Rascal to beautifully finish gravel driveways and parking lots, collect and refill accessible washed-out gravel material, leave a perfect uncompressed seedbed, and even breakup aeration cores and manure in a pasture. While grading is possible without additional options, we HIGHLY recommend the optional electric actuator to control the wheel-lift system from the seat of the tow vehicle. This option enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the Gravel Rascal for “cut-&-fill” grading and spreading applications. The rake is replaceable in one-foot sections to reduce maintenance costs.

PATENTED WHEEL-LIFT SYSTEM
Easy To Connect, Even Easier To Use
The operator is in complete control with the Gravel Rascal Pro’s patented wheel-lift system! Without a wheel-lift system, pull-behind implements are uncontrollable. The system is operated with a manual jack on top of the Gravel Rascal Pro in a standard configuration. Turning this jack raises and lowers the wheels, raising and lowering the frame and ground contact points. Optionally, the system may also be operated from the seat of the tow vehicle with the electric actuator (as shown). The wheel-lift system serves three purposes: 1) It lifts the attachment off the ground for easy transport all around the property. 2) It allows the operator to gauge the max penetration depth of the Rascal into the surface and controls the collection and release of material while grading. 3) Easy swapping of underbelly components is allowed with the wheels down and the frame lifted.

LARGE STABILIZING & TRANSPORT WHEELS
Easily Create Consistent Results & Crown Your Driveway
A properly prepared gravel driveway needs to have a consistent loosened gravel depth and be crowned to enable it to shed rainwater. The adjustable wheels control the depth of loosening and control for consistent grading. One wheel can even be offset from side to side to establish a crown on your driveway! The large 16.5″ tall x 8″ wide high-quality wheels have replaceable high-speed hubs, spindles, and bearings for long service life. They are a critical part of the patented Wheel-Lift-System and allow quick and easy transport over almost any terrain around the property. They also stabilize the UTV grader from sinking in or pitching side-to-side in loose material to ensure consistency of working depth, especially when maneuvering tight turns on a second working pass.

GROUND CONTACT PITCH ADJUSTMENT
The turn-knuckle on the top of the Gravel Rascal Pro enables adjustment over the ground-engaging pitch of the Profile Blade or Ripping Teeth for a variety of applications and soil types. The adjustment also allows the Rascal to be used with various tow vehicle hitch heights.

PROFILE BLADE ATTACHMENT (PATENTED)
ABI’s patented Profile Blade attachment is an innovative subsurface cutting blade that works similarly in concept to a sod-cutting knife to eliminate hidden inconsistent compaction below the surface. After the rippers are used, the Profile Blade is used to eradicate uneven compaction and ridging in a driveway. They also work well to eliminate vegetation at the root level.

Commercial-Quality Construction
At the core of the Gravel Rascal is a welded main frame built upon 3″ x 3″ tube steel. The frame is fully welded, except at pivoting joints, for rugged and long-lasting service life. Every component of the Gravel Rascal is truly commercial grade built to take the abuse of hours of daily use. Commercial-quality construction and design excel when other tools fail. The Gravel Rascal Pro is the toughest and most versatile ATV tool on the market.

I was glad I made the decision of purchasing the Gravel Rascal because it has saved me many hours of smoothing out the rough ground on my landscaping project. I don’t think I’ll ever sell the Gravel Rascal when I am done. I know that I will use it again in the future. It is a valuable piece of equipment for anyone. Thank you for encouraging me to purchased it. It is so simple to use it. I really appreciated….and I have no regrets. I WILL RECOMMEND it to any of my freinds and family. I love it because it is MADE IN AMERICA and the quality that the manufacturer [ABI] has put into it is evident. It is so carefully designed with great precision of steel structure. Thank god is is not made in China. Many Thanks!!!!

I used my new Rascal over Memorial weekend on my driveway. What an amazing machine! It worked 10 times as fast as a box blade and works 10 times better! You said it is a serious piece of equipment. You were right. This thing is a great design and is solidly built. I am surprised that a piece of equipment that is merely pulled behind an atv can dig in so well.

The biggest thing for me when I was buying the Gravel Rascal was buying it over the phone, but now that I have it I couldn’t be happier with my tool. My salesmen Brad Ulick did a great job explaining how it worked and what it was built to do. The main reason I am so happy is because the tool does exactly what Brad said it would. I wasn’t finagled or tricked into anything and he made it very clear that it was my decision and wasn’t forcing anything on me. The Gravel Rascal is the best tool out on the market and I would trade it for any other drag.

I have a gravel hill and when it rains the gravels washed off and with the rascal I can pull it right back up instead of going out and buying new gravel. The Gravel rascal does exactly what you guys said it would and works amazing.

I bought the Rascal for my husband’s “big” birthday present and, even though it is a piece of work equipment, he was thrilled! Now we don’t have to pay other people to work the ground. We are saving money and that’s always a good thing. It’s probably already paid for itself. I am a very satisfied customer.

I was looking for an implement to maintain the 1/2 mile entrance road into the plant I manage when I came across the Gravel Rascal. Since I’m months away form retirement, I’ve also been looking at business opportunities because I didn’t want to just sit around in retirement. I purchased the Gravel Rascal thinking at the very least, I would solve the pothole problem in our entrance road and maybe make a few dollars after I retired.
I was blown away at the quality and effectiveness of the Gravel Rascal. It did not look that formidable in the videos and I was a bit bit skeptical, but I was wrong. The next step up in products was exponentially more expensive and I’m not sure they would have produced any better results. First, ABI told the whole truth in their advertising. We have a very hard packed road due to the tractor trailer traffic on it and the rascal chewed this road up. We had been paying for a road grader prior to this and I can say with confidence that the Gravel Rascal produces an equivalent result, if not superior. Instead of having to sell driveway repair service, I have had people who have seen the results, ask me to recondition their driveways. I say recondition because normally we would keep adding rock to the plant drive but the Gravel Rascal brings the buried rock back to the surface producing an aggregate blend that packs much better than just rock addition and saves us money.
The icing on the cake is the quality of support from the company. ABI stands behind their product 100%. There are experts that answer questions, and they immediately correct any product issues. Well done ABI!

I have a 1/2 mile gravel driveway. The Gravel Rascal works great to keep it maintained. It took a little practice to figure out the right cutting teeth depth and angle for the rake, but it is easy to pull with a UTV and is an invaluable tool to maintain our driveway. I didn’t get the electronic actuator, but I think that is an upgrade I’ll be making shortly.

I was looking at a DR grader and asked Steve in sales to compare the DR to GRAVEL RASCAL. After a short conversation i bought a GRAVEL RASCAL PRO. I have put my machine through all conditions imaginable. TO my delight it has far exceeded my tasks.

Gravel Rascal Pro can grind hard packed gravel surfaces. Using the mini boxblade to move the loose material, and filling low spots is pretty amazing. My drive has a very steep incline. Over time, the water creates deep very deep ruts in the curve. Using the scarfires to break up the surface, I was able to dig down into the base and smooth out.. The drive now looks perfectly new. I have not used the profile blades yet, and havenÕt installed the electric actuator that I purchased.. Looking forward to seeing how these accessories work..

Normally I don’t do reviews but this Gravel Rascal far exceeds my expectations. I really like the unit and have worked it hard clearing about 10 acres of land. The area here is much rockier than what you designed it for but it does a fine job. I have had some wear and tear issues from hitting basketball sized rocks but nothing I can blame on the machine. The 1/4 mile driveway is in great shape too. If wondering if you need the electric actuator don’t wonder…buy it.

This thing really works! Rips out potholes in a couple of passes, combs out the surface nicely and is the perfect size/weight for my Yamaha Grizzly 450 ATV.

I have about 1/2 mile of gravel driveway and several large parking areas. I take very good care of my drive but this one hill !!!!! It is a thorn in my foot. I have a neighbor that told me he bought an attachment that he pulls behind his ATV and he’ll fix that hill. Now… I have two Kubota tractors, box blade, scrap blade, and a 8 ft rock rake and he’s going to fix hill with ATV and a pull behind. Ok here we go he takes the rascal up and down the HILL about 8 times and I was speechless. It takes a lot to impress me but I was totally impressed. Needless to say I’m talking to ABI about purchasing a commercial rake. The HILL will be tamed.

I recently got the gravel rascal pro. I was skeptical of a pull behind drag for an ATV. It came and I am very impressed with the gauge of the metal used and the durability of the unit. Got it put together (install hitch) and started in. First thing I noticed is the scarifiers how well and deep they tore up the material with little effort out of my Polaris 550XP. Then the multiple angles you can use the rear comb for. At first I did not install the electric motor and just operated it by hand. I have to tell you after installing the motor it makes it so much easier. Pot holes, gone. Puddles, gone. 1 mile drive is as smooth as can be. If you are skeptical just buy it. This item is very durable and does exactly as advertised. A little work and your drive can be as smooth as mine.

I have have my Gravel Rascal Pro for a couple weeks now, I have a driveway which has an ODOT Oregon Dept of Transportation ground cloth. My driveway is 15ft wide and 1500 ft long. I installed my drive about 12 years ago. Had not kept the edges up over the years so the grass grew into the rock about 2.5 ft on each side. I absolutely love this machine. Had talked to Brian a couple years ago, but finally pulled the string and bought one. I pull mine with a liquid cooled 2016 yamaha kodiak 700 and have absolutely no problems doing so. This rascal is built like a tank and effortlessly does the job. I had the middle 10 groomed in just a few passes and have been working the edges in my free time. Still learning the many ways to use it on the edges the ability to slope the ripping is fantastic for the overgrown edges. I had a genuine mess to clean up on the edges and would never been able to pull it off without this rascal pro. I have the power actuator a must buy for anyone. I can rip up or down hill my quad has no issues ripping with this tool. This thing digs like a monster, if you have a gravel drive reclaim your rock and get rid of the weeds. I am so glad I bought this gravel rascal pro, it is so worth the price.
Joe Trautt (store manager) –
The Gravel Rascal is the best thing that I’ve seen on the market. The only thing different I would have done is I should have added the electric actuator.

This is my six month review, I got a card today from ABI checking on how things were going with my gravel rascal. I thought that was kind of thoughtful. Who does that these days. I did a review May 2, 2002 it is still listed above. So I won’t repeat. I will say this it straighten out a giant overgrown drive, both roughly on 2 ft in on all grass growing into the edges as well as down the middle of my 15 ft wide driveway 1500 ft long. After 15 years of originally graveling my drive it had the middle done in very few passes. Although you really do not need to do it, I went down the edges on both side pulling out the clumps of grass that the gavel rascal pro ripped easily out with no effort at all. I have a small garden lawn black type dump trailer that I pull with my kodiak 700. I only did this initially on the first days of grooming. I had the first grooming done over 4 days dumping about 6 loads of grass clumps, leaving the edges looking great. The drive was beautiful. I had groomed the drive again in August improved it even more along the edges in a matter of about 8 passes in less than a few hours. I have a gorgeous drive 15 ft wide. I love this machine, best investment ever. I found it ripped easily in May, still had some rain after so it recompacted itself with the rain after grooming. When I groomed it in August it had no issues ripping the compacted ground in hot weather, It has since recompacted itself in November since it has been raining a couple weeks. I suggest to all, buy the gravel rascal pro with the actuator, you need look no father. Don’t waste your time with something cheaper, and you need not spend more because this gravel rascal pro cannot be beat. It does the job and will last longer than you. It just does not get any better. It is perfect. If your putting in a new drive use the State Highway approved ground cloth before placing gravel, then a minimum of 6 inches of crushed inch and a half on the first layer, after the power was run months later in I put another layer on top of 3/4in crushed 3/4 minus. It will keep the gravel from disappearing into the mud. It will give you the depth to use the gravel rascal pro without tearing up the ground cloth latter. You won’t find yourself buying much gravel again. I see no real need on my part down the road. Machine pays for itself.

This is a great implement for repurposing gravel drives. Solid built and heavy. Easy to put together. I do recommend getting the model with the electric actuator. I originally purchased the manual model. After using for about 30 mins I knew I should have purchased the model with the actuator. The actuator is a game changer. Great company to deal with. Top notch customer service.

I bought my gravel rascal pro About 2 years ago and have been using it for my drive ever since. Recently we had a heavy down pour which did a number on the road. My rascal pro was instrumental in repairing most of the wash out and getting the drive back to a usable condition. I was even able to use the rippers, rake, and box grader to.put in a decent ditch on the shoulder to hopefully keep future heavy rain from washing out the road. Overall my gravel rascal pro has been a back saver and I am so happy with it’s performance.!
